My first ECS was in 1977. I followed the show through the 80s. But it became less and less interesting.
I really found the ESC to be revived when the "new" countries took part. Complaining about "diaspora voting", "friendly voting", "neighbour voting", "block voting" etc doesn't lead anywhere. And making the ECS a battle between "the west" and "the east" certainly leads nowhere!
