My story

Well, what to say?

I am Martijn, a 21-year-old student, following a broad curriculum revolving around politics and human geography. My biggest passion is tennis, but music is a good second. As you might have guessed (I am posting at a Eurovision website, after all), my friends often classify my taste in music as highly gay or even non-existent. I guess I do like typically 'gay' music and it makes me happy I could also listen to depressing stuff like metal or emo, but I don't hate myself enough to do that.

Anyways, I started to get interested in the ESC in 1998, I think. I remember that in 1999 I had videotaped the performances and I kept watching Michael Teschl & Trine Jepsen over and over again. I have been hooked ever since.
