My story

Boris Zed

Hello, my name is Boris. I was born in 1979 in Milan, Italy, the city where I still live.
I am not 100\\% Italian, because my father comes from Croatia. Since my childhood I've been growing up in a intercultural athmosphere and this might have influenced my interests and passions.
The first year I watched Eurovision was 1989: I was only 10 years old and to me that show looked like something spectacular. Until then, the one and only song contest I used to watch was the Sanremo Festival, but to me Eurovision looked like a more professional, more perfect and excting show.
It was nice to see how a tv show was produced abroad, how presentations were done in a different way than the Italian one. My myth was Lolita Morena, the co-presenter of that edition. I felt very envyous when I heard her speaking well so many foreign languages. Then I though I would study languages in my future...And that's what I did :-)
Since that edition I've never stopped watching Eurovision, even though the Italian national tv stopped broadcasting it during the 90s. My top 3 favourite Esc entries of all times are:

Yugoslavia 1990 - Tajci - Hajde da ludujemo (she was great, she is a part of my childhood, of my long summer holidays spent in Yugoslavia)
Uk 1998 - Imaani - Where Are You
Netherlands 1998 - Edsilia - Hemel En Aarde

Since dance music has always been a big passion for me, in 2001 I decided to create the Eurodanceweb project! A competition with dance entries from all over Europe and the Mediterranean Area which are then voted by fans and experts. A dream that came true and is still growing a lot, gaining reputations and popularity especially in Eastern Europe.

My favorite countries

The following countries are my favorite Eurovision Song Contest participating nations;
Belgium Sweden
Slovenia Croatia
Malta Romania
Ukraine
